Anything in this world is not at absolute rest /couldn't be regarded as to be at absolute rest because an object may be regarded as at rest or to be in motion with reference to its immediate surroundings. For ex: the sun may be regarded as stationary with respect to earth/ us but with respect to the universe it is in motion & everytime its moving with it's milky way galaxy in this universe. Surroundings tend to make an object stationary or in motion.
