'Saheli' is a new oral contraceptive pill or oral contraceptive method used by the females, it contains a non- steroidal preparation and found to be very effective as emergency contraceptives as they could be used to avoid possible pregnancy due to casual unprotected intercourse or rape. This pill have to be taken 'once a week' it has very few side effects and high contraceptive value. 'Saheli'- pill was developed by scientists at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) in Lucknow, India.
