•Independence of Judiciary is important on seeing that due process of law is followed. •Due process of law is the norms and regulations given with regard to any legal action so that it doesn't impinge on the fundamental rights of the person accused. •With the considerable power of the executive in carrying out these legal actions it is the judiciary that makes sure that the fundamental rights are ensured. •E.g in the rights of the accused in Article 20(3) it says that no one can be forced to confess to a committing a crime and this is where the court comes in to make sure that no coercion is taking place.
