Marigold , rice and wheat are annual plants hence they will flower in the same year in which the seed is sown. It takes approximately 3 months to flower after sowing the seeds.
Coconut and mango are trees hence they take a long time to flower. Mango flower after 3-6 years of sowing the seed, depending on the variety and grown conditions. Coconut takes longer time upto 7 years.
The plants which flower more than once, their inter flowering period is juvenile phase. Although they pass mature phase in flowering for the first time, but for the next time they need further development.
