Mrs Hall is a business woman. She is glad to have customers in Iping regardless of the time of the year. If anything, she is glad to have customers in winter as she hardly gets any. Her only condition is that customers be punctual with their payments, and she would be more than happy to serve them food and give them a room. She does display her curious side when she sees the stranger covered in bandages but she is willing to give him his space.
Griffin came in and demanded service, he was rude to Mrs. Hall when she asked him about his bandages and rude to her when she offered to dry his coat, out of a sense of hospitality. Other people & their needs are insignificant for him, as he makes demands, almost as if he owned the inn.
