Acid is a substance which is sour in taste and turn blue litmus into read its ph. Is less than 7.

1.Acid is sour in taste . 2.It changes the blue litmus paper into red and red litmus paper remains red . 3. It is not a slippery substance like base . 4. It changes the China rose indicator to pink . 5. While testing acid on turmeric paper it remains same . (Don't be confused wild testing the base on the turmeric paper because turmeric paper changes base into red but the acid remains same it doesn't changes its colour).
