Holes are made in hanging banners to reduce air pressure so that they remain hanging in their places

Since air exerts pressure, wind blowing at a high speed may break or displace things. If holes are made in hanging banners and hoardings, then air can pass through these holes. This will reduce the pressure exerted by air on the banners and hoardings and these will not fall easily.
