No, boiling and evaporation are not same. This is because evaporation occurs before water reaches boiling point i.e. at room temperature whereas boiling occurs only when water reaches boiling point. Also, evaporation usually occurs on the surface. On the contrary, boiling takes place throughout the liquid.
