Similarities: Sophie and Janie both belonged to middle class family and there families can't afford to gave them higher education the future of both these girls was destined to work in local biscuit factory. Differences: Janie was a very practical girl and always lives in real world. She is the girl who can't put any secret hidden.she never dreams bigger than their low middle class. On the other hand, Sophie was day dreamer who always lives in her fantasizing world. SHe dreams of to become a manager first and collect money to open a boutique then she will become an actress and a fashion designer also.

Sophie always dreams of big nd beautiful things, glamour and glory. She dreams of opening a boutique, becoming manager or actress or fashion designer. In contrast, Jansie is realistic nd practical who knows the harsh realities of life.
