    At the Jolly Cricketers the bartender, a cabman, an American and a policeman offered to help Mr Marvel. The scared Marvel hid behind the bartender when the invisible man entered through the back door and caught hold of Marvel. Hearing Marvel's scream the bartender stamped on griffins feet. The american opened fire in a semi circular manner and the bullet accidentally hit the invisible man. He had no other optio than to run away from the pub without Marvel. Thus Marvel was able to escape from the grip of the invisible man.
