Zitkala Sa had to face prejudices nd humiliations of marginalised communities against mainstream culture. The rules of the school were strange nd new to her, the clothes she had to wear were undignified in her culture. Her hairs were cut, which among them were for mourners nd cowards(shrigled hair) .

Zitkala sa faced so many problems ... as she dont knw how to behave at the table .. she was anaware of table manners ... she had to cut her hairs although she dont want this to happen as her mother told her that cowards shed off their hairs ..... he had to wear skin fit dress and short clothes .. which was quite uncomfortable for her
