Dr.kemp, in a bid to escape Griffins wrath knocked on Mr Heelas' door asking for help but Mr. Heelas refused to provide safe haven to Dr. Kemp when he needed it the most. Colonel Adye on the advise of Dr kemp had alerted the people of burdock to keep their doors closed at night. Thus Mr Heelas did not respond to the crying and shouting of Dr Kemp.
