Oliver was a scientist by profession and a journalist by instinct. Griffen was his student and According to him Oliver was a theif of ideas because he was always in an attempt to steal ideas, theory, thesis facts and research conceived and developed by others. Oliver was an opportunist as he always wanted to take credit for someone else's work. This shows that he was not a trust worthy person and did not form a good opinion of himself among his students
