Parasite is the organism that lives inside the body of another organism (host) and derives the food from it. They harm the body of host. Cuscuta plant is a parasite.
Saprotroph is the organism that feeds on dead and decaying organic matter. They do not require any host. They are cleaning agents. Fungi is a saprotroph.
