Thomsan proposed a model of an atom to be similar like a Christmas pudding. The electrons ,in a sphere of positive charge ,were like dry fruits in a spherical Christmas pudding. He also comared watermelon, the positive charge in an atom is spread red edible part of watermelon, while electron are studded in positively charged sphere like the seeds of watermelon
