Nucleiod is the genetic material of the cell which is not surrounded by a nuclear membrane. It is present in the prokaryotic cells. Nuclear material is dispersed in the protoplasm of the cell.
The nucleoid is the region of a prokaryotic cell that houses the primary DNA.
