Summary of poem "Not Marble, Nor The Gilded Monuments".
  • 2 answers
Poem conveys that rich and powerful people built statues and monuments in their name so that they could be remembered by the fellow men even when they are not there . But the time is all powerfull it destroys everything except literature. Art and literature are immortal. The poet wants to convey that words arr eternal and would remain till the doom's day. It will remain relevant throughout the ages.
