It means ,at carbonic ferrous period around 250 million years ago all the continents were united as one called pangea and was surrounded by all ocean named panthalasa gradually pangea divided into two parts Angaraland and Gondwanaland by geosyncline named tethis sea because of further division all present day continents and oceans were formed.It was given by a meteriologist Alfred wegner in 1912.
