At higher altitudes sunlight has to travel less distance in the atmosphere and scatters very less. Therefore sunlight is brighter there As you go upwards the air pressure decreases, hence temperature decreases on the fact that If vol. Is kept constant, temp. Is directly proportional to pressure(ex=pressure cooker)
