Merits 1.Both local and imported fish species are used in such system. 2.These species don't compete for food among them having different types of food habits. 3.The food available in all parts of pond is used. Demerits 1. In composite fish culture many of these fish breed only during monsoon. 2.In fish farming one major problem is the lack of availability of good quality seeds.
