There are eight parts of speech 1. Noun:- 2. Pronoun 3. Adjective 4. Adverb 5. Preposition 6. Conjunction 7. Verb 8. Interjection Prepositions are words used to define the place of noun or pronoun. For example Rina is near the pole. Here noun is Rina and to know her place near is used.
