Permanent tissues constitutea vascular bundle. They are made up of dofferent types of cells . The two types of permanent tissues are :- Xylem - It consists of trachieds,vessels xylem parenchyma and xylem fibres. They have thick cell walls but the cells are dead. Phloem - They are made up of four types of elements ------ sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres. Unlike xylem these tissues can move in both directions. It transports food from leaves parts of the plant. Its cells are living too.
