    1. Monocots are mostly herbaceous 1. Dicots are both herbaceous and woody.
    2.The seed contains one cotyledon. 2.The seed contains two cotyledons.
    3.Contains fibrous root system. 3.Contains tap root system.
    4. Leaves in monocots show parallel venation. 4. leaves in dicots show reticulated venation.
