Last leaf is a story about a girl johnsy who is suffering from pneumonia and had lost all the strength to overcome in this competative world.sue is her roomate and was considerate towards her.one day sue came to know that johnsy had taken up that when the last leaf from the ivy creeper will fell down she will also die.as it is autumn all the leaves a falling down.sue takes the help of behrman who also lives in the same building ,an old man who is a painter and want to draw a masterpiece of his own .he agrees to sue and painted a leaf every day ti the window oneday after drawing a leaf in rain he died because of pneumonia but he has drawn his masterpiece that the leaf which have saved a life.
