    plants have well developed vascular system for transport of substances. the system consists of two types of vascular tissue they are xylem and phloem xylem-it transports water and minerals (sap) from the root to the leaf in upward direction phloem-transports prepared food from the leaf to all parts of the plant this is known as TRANSLOCATION
