Menstrual cycle is absent in pregnant women because the egg released from the ovary is fertilised by the sperm and zygote us formed. furthur zygote converts into multicellular embryo. The thick lining of uterus is used up in providing protection to embryo so blood vessels and thick lining of endometrium is not shed off. Hence menstrual cycles is absent in pregnant women
