Firstly, it was only beacause of Brutus that the mob was instigated in favour of Brutus and against Caesar. The main reason being that the mob was forced to accept that caesar would make all the people his slaves. Secondly, it was only because of the mob that Antony was able to change the mind of the mob against brutus and infavour of caesar. This helped Antony to succed in caesar's funeral and force cassius and brutus to commit suicide.
