Let the velocity of carB after collision be x As we know that Total momentum before collision = Total momentum after collision So, 1500×25 +1000×15 = 1500 ×20 + 1000×x 37500 + 15000 = 30000 +1000x 1000x=52500—30000 1000x=22500 x=22.5 Therefore the velocity of carB after collision will be 22.5 mper second
