Ans:- length of perpendicular from D to AC is '10 cm ' Soln:- AREA OF ∆ABC= 1/2× BASE ×HEIGHT = 1/2× 15× 12 = 180/2 =90cm sq. Remaining area = 165cm - 90cm = 75cm Therefore, the other remaining are of Quadrilateral ∆ACD Let's the height of the the triangle be n The area of other triangle = 1/2× base× height Or 75 =1/2× 15 × n Or 75/n= 1/2×15 Or n = 75× 2/15 Or n = 10
