1.Horizon A (top soil) It is the uppermost layer of soil. It is dark in colour and rich in nutrients due to presence of humus and Minerals. It is soft, porus, and can retain water. 2.HorizonB (Sub soil) It is more compact and lighting in colour then horizone A. It does not contain much water or humus but it rich in mineral. 3. HorizonC (parent rock) It is compost mainly of small Rock and is difficult to diy. It contains minerals but no organic matter. 4. Bed rock It is an on porous, Rocky and very hard layer which has small gas containing groundwater.
