Water table: The upper limit of depth of the ground water is called ‘water table’
Water drawn from under the ground gets replenished by seepage of rainwater.
The water table will have no affect as long as we draw as much water as is replenished by natural processes.
Water table may go down if the water is not sufficiently replenished which happens mainly due to many reasons. Increases in population, industrial and Agricultural usage are the common factors affecting water table.
