Narrator felt very bad about himself when his mind thought to throw an log on the innocent snake after throwing the snake went to the burning whole after that the narrator felt sorry for his behaviour and compared to the large sea bird albetros where one of the mariners shoot it with the bow and this is how the mariner felt soory after throwing a stick at snake

This was because he did wrong. He hit the innocent ? without any reason.Finally, his human instincts won against the social education.
