1.Let us consider a body of mass 'm' placed on frictoinless surface. 2.Let initial velocity be 'u' & final velocity be 'v'. 3.By applying force 'f' body gets displaced at distance 's' 4.Now according to Newton 2 law of motion :- F=ma 5.Now according to uniformaccelarated motion : V2-U2=2as V2-U2/2a=s 6.Now according to defination of work done W=ma×v2-u2/2a W=1/2m(v2-u2) But here workdone is due to motion of the body hence w=Ek Ek=1/2m(v2-u2) If initial velocity is zero i.e.u=0 Ek =1/2mv2
