Snake is usually a symbol of fear for us but in this poem the poet describes how the snake itseld becomes the victim of death. Poet says that once he has seen one man who tried to chase the snake and kill it with a stick.snake tried to escape form the sight of the chaser and hides itself in the green and thin reeds in the water body where he could easily lie without being noticed.
