Miss Mebbin was a paid companion of Mrs. Pakletide. She was a over protective sister of Mrs. Pakletide. She did not agree for a work for which she is not paid. She asked her to reduced the money of the villagers as they have bought a infirm tiger. She was the one who spotted that bullet hit the goat and tiger died out of heart failure. Also she cleverly demanded money from Mrs. Packletide for the weekend cottage.
