Why does a needle of a compass deflect when it was brought near a current carrying coil

When it is brought near a bar magnet , its's magnetic field lines interact with that of bar magnet. Hence, a compass needle shows a deflection when brought near the bar magnet.

Because the north seeking pole that naturally points towards the north direction (due to earth's magnetic field) now is attracted to the north end of the bar magnet or the north end of the current carrying loop.
