An acute disease lasts for just a short time but can begin rapidly and have intense symptoms.
A chronic disease is persistent. It lasts for a long period of time and might recur.
Develop in a short time. Develop over time instead of having a sudden onset.
Cold, influenza, Cholera, Typhoid, strep throat, cough, etc. Cancer, Heart disease, kidney disease, Tuberculosis, Arthritis, Diabetes, etc.

Those disease which last for short period of time is called acute disease. E.g.=common cold,cough Those disease which last for long period of time is called chronic disease. E.g.=Malaria,diabaties
