Electrovalency: The number of electrons lost or gained by an atom to get stable electronic configuration in forming ionic bond is called its electrovalency.
Ex: In getting Neon gas configuration Sodium (Na) loses one electron to Chlorine. Thus electrovalency of Sodium is 1
