Can an insulated copper wire be used for making electro fuse? Explain.

A copper wire can't be used as a fuse wire because it has high melting point. It won't melt easily when a high electric current passes through it and damage the electrical appliances.

1. Copper is a good conductor of electricity
2. Copper is cheap to produce
3. Copper is a very unreactive metall
4. Copper is a non-magnetic material. Hence,, the current flowing through it will not be disrupted when there are sudden changes in magnetic field
5. Copper is malleable (Can be bent without breaking) and ductile (Can be easily drawn into wires)
6. Copper wire has a relatively low melting point as compared with other metals
