Helen wrote a little story called "The Frost King" during the winter of 1892. She sent it to Mr.Anagnos of the Perkin's Institute for the blind who published on one of the Perkin's Institute Reports. Helen was happy but all her happiness shattered soon. It was discovered that a similar story "The Frost Fairies" by Miss. Margrat.T.Canby had appeared before her "The Frost King" in a book. The two stories were very much alike in thought and language. So, it was evident that Miss.Canby's story had been read to her and her story was plagiarism. It was difficult to make Helen understand this; But when she did understand she was astonished and greived. She had disgraced herself. She had bought suspicion upon thoss she loved best.
