Combined S.P. = Rs. 20000 × 2 = Rs. 40000
S.P. of one buffalo = Rs. 20000
Gain = 5%
∴ If the S.P. is Rs. 105, then C.P. = Rs. 100
∴ If the S.P. is Rs. 20000, then C.P. = Rs. {tex}\frac{{100}}{{105}} \times 20000{/tex}
{tex} = Rs.\frac{{400000}}{{21}}{/tex}
S.P. of the other buffalo = Rs. 20000
Loss = 10%
∴ If the S.P. is Rs. 90, then C.P. = Rs. 100
∴ If the S. P. is Rs. 20000 = then C.P. {tex} = Rs.\frac{{100}}{{90}} \times 20000 = Rs.\frac{{200000}}{9}{/tex}
∴ Combined C.P. {tex} = Rs.\frac{{400000}}{{21}} + Rs.\frac{{200000}}{9}{/tex}
{tex} = Rs.\frac{{2600000}}{{63}}{/tex}
∴ Overall loss = Combined C.P. – Combined S.P.
{tex} = Rs.\frac{{2600000}}{{63}} - Rs.40000{/tex}
{tex} = Rs.\frac{{80000}}{{63}}{/tex}
= Rs. 1269.87
