    No.of notebooks brought by the student = 12
    price of one notebook = 30/-
    so, actual price of notebooks before discount applied =12 × 30= Rs 360.
    Discount (15%) = 360 ×15/100 = Rs 54.
    Therefore,the student have to pay = 360-54= Rs 306.
