Because antony wanted to avenge his friend Caesar's death. Antony read the will infront of the people. It said " AFTER MY DEATH MY LANDS , RESORCES , ALL MY PROPERTIES WILL GO TO MY CITIZENS . EVERY CITIZEN WILL ALSO GET 75 DRACHMAS".This made the people angry . Antonies speech was indirect to the people .This made antony speech more effective
