Autographs make their food by the process of photosynthesis. During photosynthesis chlorophyll containing cells of the leaves, in the presence of sunlight, uses carbon dioxide and water to synthesise carbohydrates and oxygen. During the process oxygen is released and carbon dioxide ultimately gets converted into starch.
