Acc. to question , Let, For first year outut= x For second year output = x + 8%x = x + 8x/1OO For third year output = ( x+ 8x/1OO)8% + x + 8x/1OO Now, We have to calculate output of two years ago i.e. value of x Third year production is 2187 quintals i.e. , ( x + 8x/1OO ) 8/1OO + x + 8x/1OO =2187 .................. (1) On solving equation (1) we get x = 1214.9 = 1215 Hence , output two years ago was 1215 quintals . HoPe , you will understand this solution .
