Two organisms which live in close physical and are of mutual benefit to each other are called symbiosis. This process is called symbiotic relationship. Eg. Algae and Fungi.

It is a type of relationship which is mutually beneficial for both the partener. Eg-Lichens are combination of algae and fungi. The fungus holds the alga cells in its mat of web-like hyphae and supplies water and dissolved minerals and in return get food from the algae.
