the indigo planting was very much affected due to the british landlords who used to extaurt money from the share cropers of Champaran.Rajkumar shukla,aresident of Champaran ,thought about all this and went to Ghandhiji took take help from him for the share cropers of Champaran.Gandhiji understood all his difficulties and went to Champaran where he started 'CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE MOVEMENT'due to which the British landlords returned 50% of the money the had extaurted from the share cropers of Champaran
