Indo Russian relations are based on common interest and trust. Russian are quite fond of Hindi films. Both counts tires believe in an multi polar world, with greater regionalism and strengthening of international institutions like the UN. As a result 80 bilateral agreements have been signed. India is important for Russia because India imports arms, Russia is important for oil and energy exports as well as for other reasons mentioned in the ncert. Russia has also helped India space and communication industry by providing the cryogenic rocket
