-The process of replication requires enzymes. -The main enzyme is DNA dependent DNA polymerase. -It is especific and works in direction 5' to 3'. -The process require energy and it is from deoxyrebonucleotide triphosphate - act as substrat and provide energy. -The process of replication start from specific region and it is called oigin of replication. -Consequently the replication in one strand (3'-5') is continous while on other (5'-3') it is discontinous. -The discontinous synthesised fragments are latter joined by enzyme DNA ligase. -The enzyme helicase break the hydrogen bond and there is opening between two strands called replicating fork. -Fragments on discontinous strand - Okazaki fragments. -In one strad there is free OH on 3' so replication is continous. -On othr strand there is no free OH so there is primer and there will be synthsis.(enxyme - primerase)
