If we take the tens digit to be x then the unit digit is (8-x)... Hence, the number so formed is 10x+(8-x)=9x+8 Reverse of the number is 10(8-x)+x=(80-9x) ATQ, (9x+8)+18=(80-9x) 9x+8+18=80-9x 9x+26=80-9x 18x=80-26 18x=54 x=3 The original number is in the form 9x+8=9×3+8 =35 Hence the original number is 35
